You want to feel the passion, but you also want to feel comfortable enough with it that you can embrace it for the long haul. So here are some things to consider: What do you enjoy reading? If you want to make writing your career, you need to build a brand, and to build a brand, you need to be able to stick with a certain type of book. Then you can launch a second pen with a new genre. But if you write heterosexual romance maybe you might be writing sweet romance, or bad boy romance, or vampire romance, etc.
